Organism is an object that questions the relation we will have with technology in the future. By responsive interactions the user in this possible scenario could use the object for comfort.
How is technology going to draw the complex characteristics of analog objects?
Will objects in the future use technology just for utilitarian purposes?
How can product design and technology exist in an object were both can play an equal and important role in the interaction with the use?
This are questions that Im asking with this project. For a full description of the intention, the design process and more photos please visit my blog at asotodesign.com/parsons
Role/look and feel of the interaction with Organism
Control
Circuit prototype
Look and feel/ implementation
Implementation/ look and feel Prototype of the controller
At the end I decided to go for a more integrated control. Because even though the interface of a paper object is an interesting interaction, it separates the object from the user, and that's not what I would like to achieve with this project.
Role/ Look Prototype
Implementation Prototype
Using a DC fan motor I am trying to create the appearance of a living organism by creating slow movement and amplifying the sound of the plastic bag
Playing with some paper structure and light
