Product: Pressure-sensitive plush toy
[1] Cute plush toy
Role:
For use by a child or adult of any age. When the user squeezes toy, an LED in the nose lights up. When released, the LED fades out slowly.
Look and feel:
Implementation:
Battery > pressure sensor > capacitor > LED. Plus switch (not shown in video)
[2A] Evil plush toy
Role:
Like #1, when user squeezes toy, LED's light up, and then fade out slowly when released. But uses two red LED's, one for each eye. For use by a child who is old enough to not be scared by the glowing eyes.
Look and feel:
Implementation:
Same as (1) but with two red LED's
[2B] Evil plush toy with buzzer sound
Role:
Like 2A, but also plays a buzzer sound at the same time as the lights go on (the effect is meant to be humorous and playfully evil).
Look and Feel:
Like 2A, but with buzzer sound.
Implementation:
Same as 2A, but with addition of piezo buzzer plus either 555 Timer or 8Mhz oscillator. I'm not sure these are the right components to use, but I have the parts on order so can test it out for next Friday.
