Hi everyone,
I have prepared a Flash + Arduino presentation for class today. The goal is to demonstrate how to send simple on/off messages using serial data. When complete, your interface will be able to light LEDs up from Flash and toggle a virtual switch from your breadboard. Here's a quick preview to show you what it might look like:
If you're interested, please bring in the materials listed below. I will be showing how to use the serproxy script as well as setup the Flash and Arduino code, and get everyone talking to each other. All the code you will need is packaged together with an intro that should help you get started. We will go over the full thing tomorrow as time allows.
The Parts List
1. 9 LEDs
2. 8 220-ohm resistors (for the LEDs)
3. 1 momentary switch or maintained switch
4. 1 10K-ohm resistor (for the switch)
5. wires, and whatever else you want to test out
6. Arduino board + breadboard
7. Laptop + USB Cable for Arduino
For anyone interested in trying this out, I've published a more complete reference page you may want to look at: Arduino and Flash, Simple Serial Communication
