This is "Make a Wish". It is from the children's bedtime poem.
"Star light, star bright,
FIrst star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Make my wish come true tonight"
Use the momentary switches at the base of each star point to determine where that specific starpoint goes. When they are all in place, a circuit based on magnetic switches closes and lights under "Make a Wish" illuminate. Only then can you make a wish, and if you like, you can leave it on as a night light, or just seperate one starpoint from the body and the circuit will be disrupted and the light will go off.
First, here are the 5 circuits. There are 4 independent RF circuits and one circuit made of magnetic switches in series. You may notice that I wired the T/E on each encoder to the same momentary switch for each respective data port. This is so one encoder wil give up control of the decoder when a different encoder switch is depressed.
On the back of each piece there is an opening sealed by velcro to insert electronics and stuffing.
Here are pictures of 4 of the five electronics boards. The first pic is the encoder/tx circuits (one per star point) and the second is the decoder/RX circuit (one in main body).
Here is the finished product. You can not see the LEDS because of the flash,
