Patternmaking tips:
- tape over 3D form, slice off tape, lay it flat, and trace.
- remember seam allowance!
Fusibile interfacing can be used to create stiffness.
Always stuff small parts (tails, ears, feet) first.
Use small stitches that don't go all the way through the fabric to "tack on" switches in little pouches to prevent them from moving around in the toy.
Toy Regulations:
- US & European standards
- no heavy metals
- no small parts
- Fire risk
- insulate all wire joints with hot glue
