In the Next Class, we will:

Hook-up your super-bright LED's to your WORKING wireless remotes [ that you made for homework ] .

Please bring all your tools, your wireless remotes assignments, fresh batteries for your remotes, and your Super-Bright LEDs. If you have extra LED's please bring them to share too, that would be kind of you.

If you read the reading 2 hours before class, you will not pass the quiz. Give yourself enough time to study the reading and the illustrations in the book. I will ask you to reproduce the important illustrations of Logic Gates and Transistor gates on the quiz. You'll have to think and guess.

Make sure to pick up the reading before the weekend and give yourself enough time to finnish the wireless hardware homework. As a general rule, work in groups to study and build hardware, it should makes things easier.

Russian Dolls

Looking for toys that have elements of something smaller going inside of something bigger, we stumbled upon the classic Russian Dolls.

Hide n' Seek Care Bear

Children can hide the bear or hide with the bear, and the seeker can use the Finder remote control to help identify the hiding place. This toy resembles our penguin project in the fact that it uses one wireless element to find another element, same as our mother penguin and her little penguins.

Bonus Reference: Happy Feet Tap Dancing Mumble

We didn't want to use this as an official reference, but more as a bonus one since Ivonna beat us to it.
As already stated, this penguin taps his feet and dances to the rythm of either his own music or external sounds.

When I was younger I often played by myself because I was an only child. It was always somewhat difficult to play with multiple toys at once to make them move and interact with each other the way you wanted them to. For my wireless toy project I am going to make a pair of plush toys, one a predator and one the prey. When you hold a squeeze the pretator it will activate a vibrating motor on the prey so it will start shaking in fear.

In reference to I, Spy, here are several inspirations and a like-minded robot.

The general look and feel of my plush was inspired by the old Spy vs. Spy cartoon.

Another spy from not-this-world, this one has basic mechanical movement but no electronic parts. "Photographer Spy" shares a similarly ridiculous purpose and look.

Bluetooth Bug Detector

This handy tool is great for the paranoid types who think they're being bugged. It has the pretty sweet ability to detect all sorts of "digital bugs" based on signal range, as well as Bluetooth and WI-FI products. For I, Spy, the important part is that it's a little box and it can scan the immediate area for signals and then trigger a behavior. Maker: CounterTek
