MashiMaro is a famous designer charector in Korea. The name is derived from marshmallow since MashiMaro looks like one! However, MashiMaro is a twist on the name marshmallow. It sounds like how a baby would say marshmallow.
Marshimaro is infamous for being obnoxious. I think that's what makes it so interesting, the juxtaposition of cuteness with nastiness.
