INSPIRATIONAL
OK, I tried to narrow it down to three here, but I ended up with four. These are all really great. I know these aren't necessarily for kids, but I have been thinking about how plastic and cheery kids toy and cartoon characters seem to be these days. I love seeing dolls that are ugly or strange. I think that this kind of design shows much more depth of character and a creates a more interesting toy to play with.
1. The Vang

Description: He's out there. His neck is warm. His head is a different fur from the rest of his body. His powers are just lying in wait. Are you intrigued?
2. Tampon Doll

I love that this is described as "not for children". I also love the idea of a doll character being based on something you would never think to anthropomorphize. They're cuddly tampons with eyes...what more can I say?
3. Damned Dollies' "Bianca"

The anti-Barbie.
4. Cat

I love cats. I especially love weird stuffed Picasso-lookin' cats.
INSTRUCTIONAL
1. Teddy Bear Remote Control

So we saw this in class when Yury was showing us Instructables and Make magazine, but I really dig this bear. I'm thinking about making a plush iPod Monster for the first project, and this tutorial could be very useful. Plus, I think he's cute and well-designed.
2. Very cute little dolls

I like this because it looksl ike something I could maybe actually make :)
